A New Gift In Manifestation

Over the years I have tried to write short stories and poetry and never quite had the motivation nor the talent. It seemed that my desire in this area never met my ability. That was so until April 1997 when I was clearly inspired to write my first few verses of the poem I have entitled, “Apple of My Eye”.

I was sitting in our church in Tulsa, Oklahoma during an intercessory prayer meeting. Suddenly I had this unexplained desire to write. I took my notebook and just started to pen the lines as the words came to me and this went on for a while. When I thought it was complete I stopped and began to read what I had written. First quietly, then out loud. It was unbelievable, I was granted by God’s grace the ability to put words together and express my thoughts and his in a way I was never able to do before.

Those first few days I was unable to stop the flow of words and penned over twelve poems. Within the first month I had done twenty or more. Now it seems that It takes very little to inspire words that that express the heart of God, my innermost thoughts and the compassion I feel for others.

Some of the writing came to be after the Lord granted me specific visitations of His presence or He took me in the spirit to places that I had only read about in his word. So many times I was awed at what I was shown and the words just lifted out of my spirit onto the page.

I pray that these words are an inspiration and blessing to you as they were when I received them and as often as I read them. May God richly bless you all. Each Poem contains a scripture that was given to me that related to the words the Holy Spirit inspired. I will be posting various poems inspired by the Holy Spirit over the next several months, I hope they are a blessing to you.
