In Prison

I have had the opportunity to be involved with a prison ministry and I can’t express the compassion I feel for the young men and women I have met. But God is faithful to even these souls, to send us to bring them to a higher place in him and preach the good news of the gospel.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matt 25:34-40

In Prison
Rev. Dr. Winston Watson

In prison you found me,
Destitute of worldly things

But needing God and freedom,
For which my heart sings

To God I have looked,
And asked for you to come

To teach use the book,
And what I can become

I hold out my hand,
And raise my heart

For the Lord to fill me,
Lord fill every part

The day will come,
When my freedom reigns

But for now,
You’ve removed sins stains

I stand in awe of you my savior,
Gave me life, grace and favor

Now I stand in praise, In honor and fear,
Show each man, my purpose so clear

To live each day, and share your word,
Deliver the Gospel, to a hurting world
