My Call To Jamaica

Just thinking about my call to the island of Jamaica caused me to reflect often on what I was about to undertake. One of those times I sat and began to write and this poem was the result.

JAMAICA

Land of wood and water,
Destined to be the home of the Father

A place for his amazing grace,
for a nation to see his face

Come Lord come, set your vision in motion,
I am ready for your devotion

I am yours to mold, to make new,
For men and women to renew

Let my words be words of power,
To be filled with your love is my desire

Teach me Lord your way everlasting,
Let my life be a life of fasting

Let the Spirit move through me,
For all the nation to see

For my God is the Great deliverer,The only true joy giver
